Meet The Pizza Man
Brayton Laster, 23, first strapped into a go-kart at age eight at the Indianapolis Speedrome — where a serious devotion to the concession-stand pizza earned him a nickname that never let go. Fifteen years later, the pepperoni helmet is famous in the ARCA garage, and so is the grit behind it: a grassroots, family-built race program going toe-to-toe with factory-backed teams every weekend.
After running the full 20-race ARCA Menards Series schedule in 2025 and notching a career-best seventh-place finish on the Springfield Mile, Brayton returns in 2026 with a nine-race national slate — including two stops right here in Indiana.

Who is Brayton Laster?
Brayton Laster is a 23-year-old professional stock car racing driver from Greenwood, Indiana. He drives the No. 89 Chevrolet for Rise Racing in the ARCA Menards Series and is known to fans everywhere as "The Pizza Man" — complete with a pepperoni-inspired racing helmet. He started racing go-karts at age eight at the Indianapolis Speedrome and has been climbing the stock car ladder ever since.

The ARCA Menards Series is a NASCAR-sanctioned national stock car series — a proving ground where many of today's NASCAR stars got their start.
